Commissioned by MacDonald Island Park/Regional Recreation Corporation of Fort McMurray, AB, the brief was to design a concise map of Fort McMurray area to indicate where key places to stay and eat etc. were located in relation to MacDonald Island Park’s sport and leisure facilities.

The design had to work at different scales and be easy to read and understand. The main features are indicated using a series of pictograms as placeholders that make use of icons and colour to indicate their category.
